The Osprey – Ongoing Project
A robotic metal sculpture of steel and aluminum with wing movements possible in all four directional axis used by birds of prey. The bird is powered by pneumatics (air) and controlled by an Arduino + Rasberry pi mounted in its chest. The Osprey communicates using WiFi connections to any device with a web browser. A custom web interface ‘Osprey Dashboard’ allows a user to manually control movements, program sequences, and schedules. Motion sensing and semiautonomous capabilities coming soon!
